Most of the attention from the appearance of the heads of the US Intelligence Community before Congress yesterday focused on the view of those Intel leaders that their boss, Donald Trump was wrong in his view of things on Iran, North Korea and ISIS…..
But there was also something else…..
The Intelligence chief’s did NOT mention any ‘crisis’ at the American/Mexican border….
But did say that more Central America’s were coming in caravans for their ‘own protection’, a different take then Trump has put out….
The intelligence assessment, which is provided annually to Congress, made no mention of a crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border, which Trump has asserted as the basis for his demand that Congress finance a border wall. The report predicted additional U.S.-bound migration from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, with migrants preferring to travel in caravans in hopes of a safer journey….
