Senate
TX-Sen: The Texas Tribune looks at the county everyone is looking at in this race: Dallas County! No, not that one. We know have to run up the score there to win statewide, but the country’s biggest conservative county, Tarrant County, gets a closer look here. In other news, anti-Cruz super PAC Texas Forever on Sunday upped their attack ad by $1 million to a total $2.2 million through election day.
IN-Sen: Indiana Democrats and Sen. Joe Donnelly (D)’s campaign has been running Facebook ads tying Mike Braun (R) to Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Democratic leadership, and tax hikes while promoting Libertarian Lucy Brenton in an attempt to divide conservative voters against the Republican. Trump then weighed in with a tweet comparing the tactic to Russia, which prompted Libertarian Brenton to get in her one known zing of the campaign. For more on Brenton, see here.
AZ-Sen: The Green Party candidate, the aptly-named Angela Green, gave a tepid but definite endorsement to Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D) in her tight open seat race against Rep. Martha McSally (R). Of course many votes are already bagged, but it’s the thought that counts, right?
MT-Sen: Libertarian Rick Breckinridge endorsed Auditor Matt Rosendale (R) in this Senate race after anonymous mailers hit the Republican on drones and privacy and praised Breckinridge. Problem for Republicans? Half or more of the electorate probably already early voted. Breckinridge also clarified after the fact he was trying to endorse Rosendale on only a single issue, but his explanation is kind of confusing and after the fact.
NV-Sen: The Senate Leadership Fund (R) is spending $2.3 million on an ad buy tying Rep. Jacky Rosen (D) to Nancy Pelosi while hitting her for voting for increased taxes and against Kate’s Law regarding immigration. In other news, Jon Ralston predicts a Heller loss.
MI-Sen: A weird occasion in Michigan, where a Republican in a blue state is making the unusual request for a visit by Donald Trump. On a Fox News appearance, John James (R) said, “Mr. President, if you’re watching, please come to Michigan. You have excellent luck on Election Day eve.” This race is likely D, so James probably has an eye more toward a future race than this one. Either that, or it’s one of those “so crazy, it just might work” Hail Marys. Weigel notes that James’ smart media and digital efforts have cultivated a suprisingly strong online fundraising presence.
NM-Sen: Reason Magazine rides along with former Gov. Gary Johnson’s (L) US Senate campaign, which had a late start and has been heavily focused on the ground game.
ND-Sen: If Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D) has any chance to win, she will need to run up big margins in Fargo. The city is home to 14,000 college students and a Microsoft campus.
NJ-Sen/NJ-7/NJ-11: A look at how Trump is dragging Republican chances in New Jersey….
