Yesterdays vote was a wake up call for Democrats…
The way for them to regain the Presidency and the Senate in a little more than 2 years is thru running against Republican and Trump policies….NOT his off the wall Bull Shit….
Time after time in reporters interviews of Republicans there is an acknowledgment that Trump supporters KNOW their guy is wrong on many pronouncements and is obnoxious….
But they vote for him because he scares them and he identifies with their view that America is changing from what they have lived with….
America IS changing….
Donald Trump will NOT stop that no matter what he does….
But Democrats will NOT beat him by the constant media focus on the Progressive Left….
I have been pointing out here forever that America IS a Center RIGHT political country….
Democrats who won yesterday across the country where more often NOT running against Trump directly….
They where focused on the effects of the Republican agenda …
While Senator’s Sanders and Warren easily win re-election?
They are NOT the way Democrats will be able to gain wins nationally in places that Republican scored Senate wins yesterday…..
Progressive left policies won’t work in Southern states….
Even Black and Brown voters in those states won’t come out and vote for them enough numbers to defeat Republicans….While Andrew Gillum, Stacey Abrams and Bresden did better in Southern races?
The fact is Trump was able to cast the vote in those places as against a ‘caravan of refugee’s’ that Democrats had no answer for….
The caravan is harmless….
But it was pitched as ‘Progressive and Left’ leaning threat to those afraid of the changes in America…
Nancy Pelosi is now going to be sitting in the middle of the early 2019/2020 Democratic efforts to get BACK into the nation’s politics…
She is already trying to fend off efforts of her own party’s left that want to impeach Donald Trump…..
Last night?
The buzz was Trump’s tax returns?
These are NOT things that will advance the Democrats into places they need to retake control of the Senate and Presidency ….
The “way’ for the Democrats is what was their success in the House yesterday….
Providing support for American’s to help them with their healthcare, earnings and rights….
And picking good candidates to carry their messaging to people despite the media ‘s efforts to make ALL thinks Trump….
Combating the media’s ever focusing on ALL THINGS Trump is NOT the ‘Way’…..
…
Perhaps the single thing that we can say about Midterm Election Day 2018 is that America was paying attention. According to New York Times estimates, 114 million votes were cast in House races, up from the 83 million in the last midterm elections in 2014. This is unsurprising in some sense, given the way that politics has become ingrained in popular culture over the past three years. Americans live and breathe their politics now, though the breath can sometimes be labored and the life it brings is usually filled with more caustic takes than inspiring words….
