It appears the the 2020 Presidential campaign maybe ALREADY going on….
With the knowledge that the overall Obamacare Healthcare program is now supported by a majority of Americans and that the pre-existing conditions part is REALLY something that most Americans do NOT want taken away ?
Republicans are saying it won’t , while attacking the WHOLE program in court and thru watered down cheap insurance plan approvals to the states by the Trump admin….
Joe Biden, who leads the current 2020 Democratic Presidential field is going hard against Republicans on the issue…
Democrats across the country are pointing out to voters that Republicans are hostile to providing comprehensive healthcare to most Americans…
Former Vice President Joe Biden pushed back Wednesday on claims by President Donald Trump and fellow Republicans that the GOP can protect patients with pre-existing conditions better than Democrats, saying Republicans are either lying or “really stupid.”
“They’re either not telling the truth or they’re really stupid,” Biden said. “Because there’s no way you can afford to cover pre-existing conditions without everybody being in on the deal.”
Trump has repeatedly claimed that Republicans would do a better job covering pre-existing conditions, even as his party has worked to dismantle Obamacare, which prioritized those protections as a cornerstone component. The president tweeted Wednesday morning: “Republicans will protect people with pre-existing conditions far better than the Dems!”
Trump has made the claim a rallying cry to vote Republican in the upcoming midterm elections, but public health experts have said the president’s comments are incorrect, citing the Trump administration’s efforts to unwind Obamacare. Democrats have likewise portrayed the election as a battle to protect health care coverage expanded under President Barack Obama…..
Democrats are pinning their hopes on health care as a winning message in the final days of the midterm campaign, saying they will not be distracted by President Trump‘s attempts to make the election about immigration.
When Trump this week proposed ending birthright citizenship, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) responded by hammering Republicans on health care. Meanwhile, the House Democrats’ campaign arm recently launched another wave of ads targeting GOP lawmakers for their ObamaCare repeal votes.
“Remember that we close on health care and corruption and they can close with whatever toxic racist stew they want,” Sen. Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) tweeted on Tuesday.
While Trump is focusing on immigration issues like birthright citizenship and a “caravan” of migrants making its way to the U.S. border, Democrats say they will not be dragged into a debate that distracts from health-care issues leading up to Election Day.
“Clearly, Republicans will do absolutely anything to divert attention away from their votes to take away Americans’ health care,” Pelosi said on Tuesday….

As Republicans on the campaign trail have contorted the truth about their months-long campaign to undo the 2010 health care law, they’ve provoked a tricky opponent: cancer survivors.
Republicans have tried to contain the damage of their “repeal and replace” push as they defend their majorities in the midterm elections. In order to pull that off, the campaigns have had to find ways to discredit the sympathetic voices of people with complex medical needs who opposed their votes.
These health care advocates include people who got engaged in advocacy for the first time because of Republicans’ attempts to dismantle the law. They are patients with serious health conditions who are covered through the law’s marketplaces and patients who rely on Medicaid. They worry that without the law they could go into bankruptcy or go without care.
Republicans point to their support for state insurance pools as a source for coverage for high-risk patients, and more recent legislation that would ensure that people with preexisting conditions can secure coverage, even if insurers wouldn’t necessarily cover care for those conditions. But the advocates aren’t buying it…
