And there you have Donald Trump’s view of women and men …..
Guys (Republicans and ‘Strong/Rich Ones) stand and fight for being able to do things to women they don’t like ….
And get Over….
Women just can complain, but it’s just tough shit….
And Donald Trump will lie and draw laugh’s from crowds about all this….
BTW?
For most Women on the Right (Collins, and Murkowski ?) are alright with their men doing this and getting over….
President Donald Trump mocked former Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) for folding “up like a wet rag” after allegations of sexual misconduct were leveled against him, ridiculing the former lawmaker as Senate Republicans work to confirm Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, who has accused of sexual assault by multiple women.
“Boy, did he fold up like a wet rag. Man, man, he was gone so fast,” Trump said at a rally Thursday night in Franken’s home state of Minnesota. “It was like, ‘oh, he did something,’ ‘oh I resign. I quit.'”
After initially keeping mostly quiet on the assault allegations against Kavanaugh, Trump has grown increasingly combative over them, mocking Kavanaugh’s first accuser at a rally earlier this week over holes in her memory around the alleged assault. Trump has continued to support his nominee as Democrats and several of Kavanaugh’s former schoolmates have decried him as a liar and overly partisan….

I wonder what Feanken’s accuser LeAnn Tweeden has to say about this? My guess is this Trump/Hannity Republican won’t say boo about her President minimalizing what she says Franken did to her.
Pretty shameful–and pretty Republican.
CG says
Again, with this canard, that Scott attempted right after she went public, with the photos of Franken assaulting her and told her story.
There is no indication that Tweeden ever voted for Trump or supported him. That is not something she has ever said. She appeared years ago on the Sean Hannity tv show. Many people have, including many liberals.
Still though, would any of those things make it ok for Franken to have treated her the way he did (let alone the 8 other women who were activist Democrats who also accused him?) We already know Misogynist Keith thinks its ok. It would be disappointing if Scott does as well.
CG says
Furthermore, Tweeden said publicly that she accepted Franken’s apology and was explicitly not calling on him to resign.
It was the Democrat Senators who turned on Franken once the flood of other women came forward with credible allegations.
On this Franken matter, Trump and Keith seem to be on the same page, in believing that Franken should have stayed around regardless of what he did.. Hardly surprising.
scott says
Well let’s see if Tweeden was offended by Trump minimalizing what happened to her.
CG says
She’s never made any reference to Trump. Calling her a “Trump Republican” is victim shaming. She even said that she didn’t think Franken should have to resign for what he did to her.
Keith2018 says
Busy work day Corey?
You are totally obsessed with me, and it’s very creepy.
Here is what I said about Al Franken. I said there should be a process to determine if Franken should be removed from the Senate. You, as I recall, thought he should immediately resign. Franken, of course, was answerable to the voters. We all thought there should be a process. You said immediately he should resign.
We also wanted a real investigation of Bart O’Kavanaugh, a real look at his sexual perversions (you know those “drinking games”) and his alcoholic ways. That wasn’t done and McConnell is about to push the Preppy Pig through to the Court.
So, the hypocrisy here is yours Corey. Different standards for your tribe, than our tribe. Other than you Corey, people here were unanimous in their response to a potential sexual harasser. We said there should be an investigation, a real investigation, to get to the bottom of the allegations. Clearly the Kavanaugh investigation was perfunctory and didn’t go far enough. And you, by your own admission, have different standards for Kavanaugh as opposed to Franken. Why you even defended Gym Jordan and his unfolding “Denny Hastert” scandal.
The difference between Democrats and Republicans here is that the Democrats take responsibility for their “bad boys” and Republicans vote to confirm them to the Supreme Court.
As Jack has pointed out any number of times, you have painted yourself into a “goody-two-shoe” conundrum. You hate Trump and his personal behavior, but support and excuse everything he does politically. All the real “never Trumpers” have left your party and will be voting Democratic next month. But not you, even in blue Illinois. You voted for Alan Keyes, and that says it all, you have never voted for a Democrat for statewide or federal office.
So all the personal insults directed at us notwithstanding, I actually feel sorry for you. You live in a sea of blue and that cannot be good for you, and you appear to be increasingly desperate to justify your party’s misguided and racist policies. But you can’t and that has to be frustrating for you.
My advice Corey, just come out of the closet and admit your allegiance to Trump and his new Republican Party.
CG says
You said the photo was fake and he was only pretending to grope her. Only a misogynist could believe that. You also claimed that Gerry Studds molesting an underage page was because he was the victim of the teenager seducing him.
I have called for plenty of Republicans to step down for misconduct. Keith has never criticized a Democrat.
And please, let us establish that it is ok to talk about what people were doing in the mid ’80s. If uncorroborated charges decades later against a High School student are fair game on here, why aren’t real time, verified charged and evidence about what a government employee in his late 30s was doing at the same time and even later? (I won’t ever mention the details of Keith’s embarrassing college arrest that was written about in the Daily Vidette at the time because that I believe is irrelevant.)
I’ll check back later.
CG says
Quick clarification-
On second thought, I remember that Keith has indeed criticized a Democrat (or at least a quasi-Democrat) All the times he has attacked the physical appearance of Bernie Sanders’ wife.
He can lay claim now to being a bipartisan Misogynist.
Keith2018 says
Wow! My embarrassing arrest!!
I got arrested for underage drinking in college.
Like I said earlier, I find Corey’s obsession with me creepy.
I also assume that this reference to something that happened 50 years ago means that Corey really does think that underage drinking is disqualifying for a candidate to the Supreme Court. – no matter how long ago it happened. Why else would he bring it up.
My real problem with Kavanaugh is his, and his Party’s, treatment of sexual assault. By voting for Kavanaugh the Republicans in the Senate will all become complicit in both his assault on Dr. Ford and the war on the survivors of sexual assault. That’s just a fact, as it’s clear that the Preppy pervert will get on the Court
And, of course, those w support “Bart” will look for any argument, no matter how bizarre, to defend the indefensible. Bart wasn’t simply taking an inappropriate picture with his hands levitating over a Kevlar Vest, he and Mark Judge were trying to rape Dr. Ford. And the old white Republican men on the Committee are fine with it.
I suppose in a weird way I should appreciate Corey’s obsession with all things Keith. I get to relive my youthful follies without any effort.
But, do you really think I give a rat’s ass about what you or anyone else thinks about me Corey?
There are five of us here for fuck’s sake.
In my opinion these obsessive personal attacks are a way of deflecting from the fact that your party, the party of Trump is about to put a sexual predator on the Court.
That might give you a chubby Corey, but it won’t get you to first base with an educated woman.
The fact that you are defending this mope says it all.
CG says
Shall we also relive your middle aged follies?
CG says
late breaking development:
“Brett Kavanaugh was caught naked with three nurses moments after his birth.”
CG says
I haven’t been watching live, but based on reports Susan Collins is calling out the Democrats for what they have done, as she announces her decision on Kavanaugh.
jamesb says
She has also praised Feinstein….
jamesb says
Collins is attacking the leaker ?
jamesb says
Collindsseems to be ALL OVER the place….
She is complaining about just about EVERYTHING….
She seems to be lost…
Her complaints are against the fact that people see the world different,..
And she buys into whatever Kavanaugh says he is….
Collins’s as expected will vote TO CONFIRM
NO SURPRISE
She has NEVER VOTED AGAINST anyone for the court
Ford’s story was cast aside….
She embraced Trump’s political comments
jamesb says
Brett Kavanaugh WILL Make it to the US Supreme Court….
Collins will vote Yea
Manchin will vote Yea
CG says
Collins is killing it.
She is dismantling the allegations against Kavanaugh.
CG says
You just don’t like what Collins has to say.
She is showing great fortitude.
CG says
Manchin is now officially a yes. No surprise.
I guess he and Bredesen are complicit in rape.
scott says
Keith I don’t blame you for being creeped out by CG’s obsession with you.
It’s freakin weird.
CG says
What’s weird was his attempted and inaccurate “doxxing” of me going back to 2006 or so, while a highly paid federal official, and even worse was what he did to Kyle. What I do to him in return, years later, after learning who he was, pales in comparison.
CG says
and people who drunkenly post death threats over political disagreements should stay clear of glass houses too..
scott says
I know I was out of line and I apologized. I don’t recall it being a “death threat”–but I was reprimanded by James and I deserved it.
Your obsession with things long passed among the 5 of us who post on here is a little goofy.
Years ago used to work as a cobtract employee for a company whose name I never disclosed on what was then P1. You made a comment about my “telling” on the CEO of that corporation. I found it odd that you had somehow gleamed that knowledge but I let it go at the time.
CG says
A) just stay out of it then if it does not relate to you.
B) the company was something you had publicly referenced on P1 because it was part of the email address you were using publicly and you discussed the company on P1 several times. It wasn’t a secret.
After you made a very below the belt insult at me in early 2009, I was angry and said something in reaction that of course I was never actually going to do. I have long since told you that I should not have said it, just as I am sure you would not have insulted someone in the same way, when similar misfortune fell upon you later on, as happens to most people at least once.
jamesb says
Could we ALL be like the politicians in the Senate and disagree, but have some respect for each other also?
Thanks People…
CG says
I’m calling for an Ethics Investigation of select P-Dog liberals.
