Brett Kavanaugh IS in line to get the job of Supreme Court justice for life…..
The way things go is the political strength in the US Senate does the job confirmation after the President makes the pick….
President Obama got two on the court, but failed on his third choice because he didn’t have the votes….
The Republicans have the votes on this guy…
This week he’s gonna be rushed thru the Senate Judiciary Committee so that there can be a full Senate vote before the Midterm elections….
Republicans are taking no chances on a possible Senate turnover to the Democrats….
The judge worries some who think he might go after abortion rights, healthcare benefits and probably the reason Trump picked him in the first place?
Maybe Kavanaugh could be the swing vote in a tug or war to get Trump to come in and sit down and answer questions in the Mueller probe….
There should no real surprises this week….
Again…..
The Democrats simply do NOT have the votes to stop this guy from getting the job….
Brett Kavanaugh starts his confirmation hearing Tuesday with a clear political path to the Supreme Court, if he can avoid a major misstep when Democrats press him on controversial topics like abortion rights, health care and the criminal investigations swirling around President Donald Trump.
The grilling won’t change minds on the Senate Judiciary Committee, which appears on track to approve Kavanaugh with an 11-10 party-line vote. Instead, Democrats will aim to sway a handful of centrist senators who aren’t on the committee but could cast key confirmation votes on the Senate floor — as well as residents in their states.
At stake is the seat vacated by Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, a conservative whose penchant for siding with the Supreme Court’s liberal wing made him a pivotal vote on issues such as abortion, affirmative action and LGBT rights. Kavanaugh, 53, has shown an unyielding commitment to a conservative legal approach as an appeals court judge in Washington. He could solidify the Supreme Court’s rightward tilt for decades to come on those issues and more.
“If the American people understand better what’s at stake, it will help determine whether they contact their senators and tell them to vote ‘no,’” said Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal, a Democratic Judiciary Committee member. “There are just so many consequences potentially from this appointment.”
Yet Republicans will have a 51-49 advantage when a successor to the late Sen. John McCain is named, enough for a majority vote and confirmation of Kavanaugh without any Democratic votes…..

JUST IN: Sen. Feinstein says she has “received information from an individual concerning” Kavanaugh’s nomination. She says she has “referred the matter to federal investigative authorities.”

On the surface, it sounds like she is borrowing a page from Harry Reid talking about Mitt Romney’s taxes.
This is something to allegedly have to do with something that happened with a female when he was in High School. Whatever the “accusation” is, does this sound like anything that could remotely be proven or colloborated? Without knowing anything further, this of course smacks of political desperation, after all the ridiculous Trumpian stunts and allegations Senate Democrats tried to pull last week.
High School…

Still blaming old Harry I see, all roads lead back to Willard. Does Willard still have those offshore accounts?
People can’t be outraged regarding past incidents involving Al Franken and then pass off bad behavior of Republicans that involve young children as old news. Oh wait, Republicans do that all the time.
They elected an admitted pussy grabber President, nominated a pedophile for the U.S. Senate, and a man who ignored the sexual abuse of his students is the leading candidate for their House Leadership.
Maybe we should just give the Judge the “Denny Hastert Award” for his extraordinary efforts to cover his miserable record.
A bigger issue is the fact that he clearly lied in his initial confirmation hearing.

Al Franken was accused, with physical evidence, of acts as a celebrity and as a U.S. Senator. People (who shared his political persuasion) came forward to say what he did.
So, now according to Feinstein, there are rumors of something that is alleged to have happened when he was a High School student (but we may never know what) because the person is remaining anonymous. It’s only to get the story out. Apparently, she knew of this in July, but is just bringing it up now, after everything else to “get” Kavanaugh has failed, Not a great chapter for Feinstein, who is doing this because she faces political pressure from the left at home.

I sure hope old Brett didn’t use “abortion inducing drugs” when he banged this girl.
First Clarence and now this, SAD.
