A third accuser of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh publicly identified herself Wednesday and alleged that Kavanaugh and others in the early 1980s spiked the drinks of girls at high school parties with intoxicants to make it easier for them to be gang raped.
The woman, Julie Swetnick, said Kavanaugh lined up with other boys, including his close friend Mark Judge, waiting to rape those girls at many parties — and that she once became a victim herself.
The allegations were detailed in an affidavit, signed under penalty of perjury, that was released by Swetnick’s lawyer, Michael Avenatti. Her statement was sent to a senior staffer on the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Swetnick’s stunning claims came on the eve of scheduled testimony at that committee by Kavanaugh, 53, and Christine Blasey Ford, who has said he “physically and sexually assaulted me” in the early 1980s.
The now-51-year-old research psychologist Ford claims Kavanaugh held her down on a bed when she was 15, groped her and tried to pull off her clothes asJudge watched. Republicans who hold the majority on the committee have refused to subpoena Judge to testify despite calls to do so from Democrats, Ford’s lawyers and Avenatti…..

The last thing smart Democrats want is for Avenatti to keep talking about this. It’s amazing how tone deaf some people can be. That is their right.
This ridiculous charge backfired against them and even if someone believes that Dr. Ford was completely truthful, this hurt her cause a great deal.

There was never any “evidence” that Kavanaugh did the things Dr. Ford accused him of because the Majority refused to allow it into the record.
Putting aside the hypocrisy of supporting a sexual predator for a Seat on the Supreme Court after demanding Democrats resign from the Senate, I find it interesting that there truly is a great deal of information that supports the allegations of all the women Brett attempted or did molest.
Why else would the American Bar, the Catholic Priests who run his former school, and Yale request an FBI investigation into the charges. I believe his unhinged performance prompted much of the skepticism these institutions have in his suitability for office.
The performance of those old white men yesterday and today in rejecting a credible accuser will come back to bite them in their fat asses.
While Kavanaugh will be seated on the Court, he will be a pariah as more information is obtained.
The Democrats are already cutting the attack commercials for the Republicans who supported Kavanaugh and will use them to keep this issue front and center. Brett’s own slimy history will do the rest. Donald Trump proved we live in a reality world, Kavanaugh is a dry drunk and molester. The public likes those stories.
“Michael Avenatti was a hot conversation topic Saturday night at Trump Hotel, where administration officials gathered for happy hour with advisers from the outside groups who poured money and energy into confirming Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court,” according to Jonathan Swan.
“At one point in the evening, a senior person at one of the outside groups joked that Avenatti might have been on the Republican payroll.”
