This report from Rollcall is backed up by reports that some Republicans in tough races have been told they CAN come out against the legal problems their party leader has in the media…..
The Republican embrace of President Donald Trump is beginning to show cracks as some rank-and-file GOP lawmakers stepped up their criticism of the president back home in their districts in a week where his former personal lawyer and onetime campaign chairman pleaded to and were found guilty of eight federal crimes apiece.
No one is jumping to conclusions yet about whether Trump should face impeachment. But some Republican lawmakers have been candid in recent days about the prospect of impeaching the president, and what would need to happen for them to consider such a step.
“We’ve got to wait for the investigations to finish, House, Senate, and more,” North Carolina Rep. Walter Jones, who hasn’t shied away from responding sharply to Trump’s controversial remarks in the past, told WITN. “At whatever point, if it’s justified, that they recommend impeachment, then that would be on the table.”…

Lots of talk…
And that’s all it is…Talk.
The idea that more than a few House Republicans will even speak out against Trump much less would actually vote to impeach him is a joke.
Some of those mentioned in this article aren’t even running again, while Walter Jones is a well known Republican maverick who often goes his own way.
Nothing here ,but for those who still like to engage in their fantasies that Republicans are going to move against Trump, well, hey it is the weekend and the weekend comics are entertaining.

There WILL those who are in tight races in places where defending Trump’s actions will create problems ….
These GOPer’s will express doubts while trying to defend their party…
For them?
A tightrope act….

The #NeverTrump Republicans ARE out there…

@RadioFeeTom
Local GOP candidate just knocked on my door. Couldn’t process it when I said that as a Never Trump Republican I am not voting for any Republicans in this cycle. At all. And will actively vote against Republicans gaining even one local seat until this madness is over….
Twitter…

An insignificant anecdote.
Desperate much to make an increasingly irrelevant point?
For serious people? The Wall Street Journal declared yesterday that Trump has essentially remade the Republican Party in his image.

Just making a point….
The WSJ would seem to be late to the table
You and others have been saying as much for quite a while….
My Name Is Jack says
And as requires constant reiteration…
No one is claiming that Every Republican supports Trump.
The larger point is that the opposition to him is of no real consequence in the Republican Party and is insignificant to the fact that Overwhelmingly Republicans support him.
Why you feel the need to troll the internet to post such insignificant stuff as the above is simply indicative of your obsessive desire to make things the way you want them to be rather than how they actually are.
Tiresome and boring.

Actually?
The story just jumped off twitter begging to be featured….
Yup..
Some GOPer’s HAVE. Been brain washed and are looking at a NYC Real Estate guy turned iffy politican , who lives in an alternate Universe, as the last white hope for America..

The Wall Street Journal is a major news source in this country.Read by millions throughout the world.
What they publish is much more significant than anything posted here by you,me or anyone else.
Then again ,perhaps the “thousands “viewing these words would disagree?Maybe they will chime in here?

The WSJ tends to have a pro business lean…
It is certainly well known
The people actually writing the copy get things right and wrong just like some of us here…..
I believe they are just people who get paid and are no better, or worst then you or me…
