So for those keeping score, to date, President Trump’s trade war is hurting pork and soy bean farmers. The nation’s largest manufacturer of nails, Mid Continental, is laying off workers, and the box company that boxes their product has had to cut back, as well.
Harley-Davidson is no longer a strictly American product, since the trade war has forced them to move a portion of their production overseas, in order to save their European market.
These are just a small sampling of all the ways Trump’s temper tantrum against America’s allies and friends in the world is harming the American workers.
According to the U.S. Labor Department, in a report released on Thursday, Trump is looking to hire more immigrant help for his Mar-A-Lago resort in Florida.
The Palm Beach resort wants to hire waiters and waitresses who would be employed using H-2B visas, which businesses typically obtain if they can establish that there are not enough American workers able or willing to fill the temporary positions.
Trump defended the controversial practice during a GOP primary debate in 2016.
“It’s very, very hard to get people,” he said at the time. “Other hotels do the exact same thing.”…..

The use of Mar-a-Lago as former President Donald Trump’s permanent home is under legal review by the town of Palm Beach and the arrangement may be discussed at the upcoming town council meeting, the town manager told CNN.
When Trump turned the private residence into a social club, he had agreed with the town to limit his stays at Mar-a-Lago, and now some Palm Beach residents say he is violating that agreement….
