Progressive/Lefty Democratic candidates have problems with Black Voters….

Bernie Sanders didn’t and won’t carry large group ‘s of back voters….

In the coming New York State Democratic Governor’s primary between Andrew Cuomo and Cynthia Nixon?

The same in the California US Senate Democratic primary with Diana Feinstein and Kevin de Leon

The same basic is occurring….

Black voters do NOT prefer progressive candidate’s in their party….

The ones that vote are more likely moderate or even right leaning….

They do NOT trust idea’s that they see as fanciful…..

And THIS is a problem for the lefties….

They cannot win big in the party without the Black vote…..

Bernie Sander is never gonna be the Democratic nominee…..

That is?

Unless he joins the party and moves more to the center,,,,

This is why this dog smiles when the left leaning media types have Bernie Sanders leading inn the 2020 Democratic Presidential nomination sweepstakes listings now….

Joe Biden has ALWAYS enjoyed the support of Black voters….

And he was Barack Obama’s Vice President……

In a one on one with Sanders, who refuses to even join the party?

Biden would  win every time…

In New York?

Cynthia Nixon maybe the media lefty obsession?

But she isn’t gonna be Governor….

Likewise….Ocasio-Cortez is a media darling….

But she didl not carry the Black vote in her district, she carried the white vote away from Crowley…

Know this people…..

The whole media swoon for the Democratic left is NOT where the party is…..

The first, and perhaps most obvious, is that progressives look likely to fail in their biggest 2018 tests in the two biggest blue states. Besides Cuomo, Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California looks to be on her way to victory against Kevin de Leon. As with Nixon, progressive activists have endorsed his campaign. Voters overall, though, have a different perspective. Feinstein ended up 32 points ahead of de Leon in June’s top-two primary. She also holds a large lead over him in general election polls.
While the #resistance is strong in both states, neither is a haven for the left wing of the Democratic Party quite yet.
The second trend is that Cuomo’s lead is indicative of is the continually poor showing by progressive insurgents among black voters.
Cuomo is leading across pretty much all demographic groups, but he’s particularly strong among African-Americans. Although no crosstab of black voters was available in the Quinnipiac poll, an earlier Siena College poll put Cuomo’s margin over Nixon among black voters at 74% to 17%.
His advantage among black voters is no fluke.
When Ocasio-Cortez was cruising district-wide, she was weak in black neighborhoods. She was able to win in large part because of strength in areas with larger white populations.
Progressive Daniel Biss lost the Illinois gubernatorial primary earlier this year at least partially because he ran weak in the black neighborhoods of Chicago.
In 2016, Sen. Bernie Sanders, a Vermont independent who caucuses with Democrats, could never quite overcome Hillary Clinton’s connection with black voters. She won them in New Yorkby 50 points, for example.
Even for Cuomo, a black base is nothing new. When he beat Teachout four years ago, he did best in areas that were predominantly black.
Of course, Ocasio-Cortez was able to win overall anyway. That wasn’t the case for the progressives in the other examples, though. It’s tough for progressive challengers to win when they lose by 50 points among a group who make up more than a fifth of the electorate.
Why are progressive insurgents struggling with black voters? Black Democrats are more likely to consider themselves moderate or conservative than other Democrats. They also are more likely to identify as Democrats instead of independents who lean Democratic…..

    You are all wet with the Sanders being the leader for the 2020 Democratic Presidential nomination right now….

    The poll has Warren leading Biden with Sanders in 3rd place….

    • The Suffolk poll shows Biden at 30 and Sanders at 25. Not sure how that is “double digits.”

      When they include Warren though, she leads 26-20 over Biden, even with Sanders included and receiving 13 %.

      We can surmise that Warren takes votes away from Biden if she is included, his highest name recognition aside.

        Sanders is NOT the choice for Democrats and Biden , who leads across the board will NOT have a walk in the park to get the nomination….

        That said?

        Warren has NO chance of beating Biden in the critical satesa for the primary

        She will not beat him in places where there is a large black voting group,…

        Which IS why he leads across the board…

        As my son’s have pointed out?

        If idea does NOT run?

        The race IS wide open for Democrats

        • I will repeat that Biden is unlikely to run, and if he does run, will be a severe underdog to Warren and others, once name recognition becomes moot.

            • There is a lot militate against a Biden run in 2020,not the least of which is that he will be 77 years old .He was first elected to the Senate 46 years ago and first ran for President thirty years ago.The term,”old warhorse” is certainly applicable.

              Yet ,as a thorough political animal ,and seeing polls showing him running as much as twelve or thirteen points ahead of Trump has to stir the juices.

              I imagine a lot will depend if those numbers hold up a year or so from now, his physical health ,the strength of the field and possibly Barack Obama’s views .
