Immigration: Byron York looks at how Trump’s immigration agenda is generally wildly popular according to a new Harvard-Harris poll. Most elements of Trump’s policy have strong majorities among the general public and even pluralities among Democrats.
ICE: While the polling indicates that Trump has a strong advantage on immigration, the Democratic Party is being overran by extremists on the issue who want to abolish ICE. The race to insanity is being led by de facto Representative-Elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Che) who won a primary last week promising to abolish ICE. Not to be viewed as anything other than a Bold Progressive champion despite prior statements, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-Opportunist) became the first senator to call for ICE being abolished. She was joined by Senators Elizabeth Warren (D) and Kamala Harris (D-San Francisco) who called for starting from scratch, but not abolishing ICE. This is causing some friction within the Democratic ranks as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-Queens) and Senator Bernie Sanders (Reasonable Socialist) have denounced such lunacy. When Bernie and Chuck are voices are reason, we might have a party planning to go 1972 all over again.
More ICE: President Donald Trump (R-MAGA) welcomes the Democratic descent into lunacy on immigration. He does not just look forward to the opportunity to run against such insanity, he predicts they will lose bigly! Honestly, the Democrats could not pick a worse issue to fight Trump on. The Democrats are incapable of showing self-control on it and the median voter is far closer to Trump than the Bold Progressive BS being spewed all over the place.
Supreme Court: Mark your calendars for July 9 as President Trump will announce his nominee to replace retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy (Right leaning Philosopher King). We should also be prepared for a full-blown progressive meltdown including threats and ruining the nominee’s life within seconds of the announcement.
More Supreme Court: Senator Susan Collins (R) announced that President Trump’s search team has expanded its search list beyond the original 25 Trump said he was looking for last week. This contradicts reports that Trump has narrowed the list to 5.
Trump Agenda: The National Interest has a look at how President Trump can dominate the domestic and international agenda going forward.
Everything is Political: As our society continues its descent into a morass of everything being political all the time (Politics is now religion you know), sites like Yelp face issues regarding the accuracy of their customer-review driven platforms…..
Note….
As a counter to above ICE piece for RRH….
The United States has more immigrants than any other country in the world, 76 percent of whom are in the country legally. But only 45 percent of Americans were aware that the vast majority of immigrants have legal documentation, the study found.
Nearly seven in 10 Americans feel sympathy toward undocumented immigrants living in the United States. Eighty-six percent of Democrats and 48 percent of Republicans said they feel sympathetic. These numbers are little changed since 2014, when a surge of unaccompanied minors from Central America attempted to cross the border…..
