The Billionaire , former 3 term Republican New York City Mayor, would run for President as a Democrat…(He was a registered Democrat and Independent before )
He is 76, years old and he has tons more money than fellow New Yorker Donald Trump….
Bloomberg considered running in 2016 as an Independent, but sources tell CBS2’s Political Reporter Marcia Kramer that if he runs in 2020, he would run as a Democrat.
A source close to the former three-term mayor says the move is fueled in part by regret that he didn’t stay in the race in 2016, because he feels he could have either won outright or prevented Donald Trump from winning.
Recent appearances by Bloomberg show a growing frustration with the direction the country is going in, but it’s anyone’s guess whether that will translate into a full-fledged presidential campaign. The 76-year-old would be the oldest person to run for president, but longevity runs in the family. His mother, Charlotte, lived to be 102.
Political consultants point out Bloomberg is making a number of key moves, including spending $80 million to help Democrats win Congressional races and collecting a lot of political IOUs in the process. But, they also say it could be an uphill battle because of his liberal policies….

Governor Andrew Cuomo, Mayor Bill de Blasio, and Senators Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Cory Booker (D-NY) have all voiced a desire to run….

The NY Times devoted nearly a full page to the benevolence of New York City’s former billionaire mayor Michael Bloomberg, who has pledged $80 million of his fortune to elect Democrats to Congress so they can vote against Donald Trump. So far so good. But before the Times deifies him, let’s remember the following: Mayor Mike ran as a non-political independent. He pledged to support the city’s two-term limit law. While mayor he considered running for president. That didn’t work out. He then considered vice president. That didn’t work out either. He then violated his campaign pledge and spent millions more to abrogate the city’s two-term limit law so he could run for a third term. He then spent millions more to barely defeat an anemic opponent. He also gave us gave Ray Kelly as the longest serving and most powerful police commissioner in city history. Kelly gave us unchecked Stop-and-Frisk and unchecked spying on Muslims. That gave us Bill de Blasio….
