Forget the Lawyers….
Donald Trump has switched them in and out….
Forget the Law….
Donald Trump feels that the rules do NOT apply to him….
So much so that he has fired lawmen and holds the threat of firing more over others….
While the media has had TONS of stories about the facts in the probes about his campaign and influence from the Russians and others that would result in a loss of employment and criminal problems for others?
Donald Trump does what he does best….
Puffs up his chest and goes hard against his problems….Continually…Until people give up and embrace HIS point of view…
He is NOT doing much of anything against the criminal case mounting against him….
Instead?
He is embracing the notion that an American President is impervious to criminal charges….That he can ONLY be held accountable in the political world of Congress….
And he IS making progress against a Special Prosecutor, who is constrained to play by the rules…. Unlike his subject, and has been mum….
Some of us…..Hope that the Robert Mueller will do a good enough job in the end to send Donald Trump and crew packing and restore hope in the American political and legal system…
President Trump is waging a war of attrition against special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation. If his goal is to poison the reception to whatever Mueller’s findings turn out to be, as seems evident from what he and his allies have done, he is making progress.
The slow but steady separation of public opinion underscores the degree of success in the president’s strategy. Through constant tweets in which he has used exaggeration, distortion and outright falsehoods — combined with the activities of his congressional supporters in hectoring the Justice Department and the FBI — Trump hopes to turn the ultimate confrontation into one more partisan battle.
He has created diversions that have helped to reshape attitudes, primarily among Republicans. It started long ago, when he charged, without evidence, that President Barack Obama had wiretapped the phones in Trump Tower during the 2016 campaign. That proved to be false, but it did not deter him from claiming other alleged abuses without solid evidence to back them up.
The latest is what he labels “Spygate,” the claim that the Obama administration planted a spy inside the Trump campaign. As always, this involves some clever — and cynical — branding by a president who is a master of the game.
The available evidence says something to the contrary, which was that FBI officials were concerned enough about Russian interference in the election and about contacts between Russians and several people involved in the Trump campaign that they used a confidential source to talk with Trump associates. If Trump is suggesting that the goal of this was to somehow disrupt the Trump campaign or deny him the presidency, it was an utter failure. But that was not the goal, based on everything in public view….

Congressional Republicans spent 28 months investigating Benghazi coming up with nothing. By contrast, Muehler has secured the indictments of 19 individuals and three companies, and he already has 5 guilty pleas.
We don’t know everything that Muehhler has, but we know of at least 22 meetings between Trump’s team and individuals linked to Russia. We know that Trump’s top campaign officials met with Russians willing to provide unflattering info on Hillary. We know Kushner proposed a secret back channel line of communication between the Trump team and the Russian government. We know that Trump tried to lift sanctions on Russia days after taking office.

Is this the actions of a man who is ‘innocent’?
President Trump reportedly told Attorney General Jeff Sessions last year that he should reverse his decision to recuse himself from the investigation into Russian election interference.
Trump made the usual ask of Sessions during a dinner at the president’s Mar-a-Lago estate in March 2017, the New York Times reported Tuesday. The meeting reportedly came shortly after Sessions announced his recusal.
The Times reported that special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating the incident as part of his sprawling investigation….

NEW: Rep. GOWDY says the FBI acted appropriately when it deployed an informant to make contact with Trump’s campaign associates suspected of Russia ties.
He’s one of a handful of lawmakers who’s actually been briefed on the classified info.

Breaking news tonight from Yahoo News Senior Reporter Michael Isakoff that Spanish authorities recently turned over copies of tapes from wiretap surveillance of Russia’s Alexander Torshin, a deputy governor of Russia’s Central Bank who became close to Donald Trump Jr. in May 2016 during the NRA’s National Convention. The tapes, according to Isakoff’s reporting, reveal numerous detailed conversations that, according to Spanish officials involved in providing them to U.S. investigators, likely implicate Donald Trump Jr. in more extensive coordination with Torshin than previously acknowledged.
According to Spanish authorities with knowledge of what was turned over to the FBI, “Donald Trump’s son should be extremely worried…”….
