Trump is NOT gonna be happy reading about the media falling all over itself showcasing the fired FBI Director ‘s book…..

                      But most people feel he fucked up…
                      He acknowledges he felt like shit for the two weeks before the election as people threw down at him…

                      Comey DID at that time tell Trump he was NOT under investigation…He did NOT go public with that at the time….

                      Comey seems extremely preoccupied with how his actions would be perceived politically. For instance, here he’s saying that letting the “facts and law decide what you should do” is a great idea … provided the politics of the situation are a wash for you either way.

                On the other hand, Libby wasn’t the person who leaked Valerie Plame’s affiliation to the CIA. It was leaked (inadvertently, it’s said) by Richard Armitage, who was Deputy Secretary of State under Colin Powell.

                So Scooter Libby’s prosecution for lying later, was rather a stretch.

    It’s sort of weird to suggest really.

    I mean Trumps approvals among Republicans runs from the mid seventies to the mid eighties.

    If that were to drop into the low fifties,then it might stir up some serious talk.

    • If the election was today, Trump would easily beat Haley, but my guess is that Cohen’s files/recordings have some information on Trump that is really, really bad. And I’m not even sure Trump can stay mentally healthy for two more years.

          • Has anyone else here read Hillary’s book, “What Happened” or is it just me? I am about three quarters of the way through and cannot wait to be done with it.

            Maybe you guys would be able to handle it better though.

            • Speaking for myself probably not. I tend to avoid autobiographies of politicians whether I agree with their politics or not. They all tend to be self serving and rather dull.

    Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell
    Has announced he will NOT bring a Senate bill up for a vote that would protect Robert Mueller from being fired….
    Oh , Yea?
    First of all there ain’t enough votes in the House or Senate to pass such a bill….
    Second of all?
    If such a bill WAS PASSED?
    Trump would surely veto it….

    So McConnell’s announcement isn’t a big deal
    Nothing was gonna get to become a law anyways

  10. Don Blankenship and Al Sharpton both have blood on their hands (Sharpton’s untrue accusations during the Tawana Brawley disgrace drove someone to suicide).

    Neither major party should allow these men to associate with it.

    • Al Sharpton did more than that. In an unrelated incident to the Brawley fiasco, he incited a riot in which Jews were targeted and murdered.

      • It is not my understanding that Sharpton incited a riot. I think a more accurate statement would be that Sharpton didn’t do what he needed to do and should have done to prevent the riot. And for that he deserves blame, but it is not the same as inciting a riot.

          Nevertheless he DOES use certain things (like Trump) to further HIS influence that bother people….

          If you ever actually take a look at him and his actions?

          He IS very smart and crafty….
          His political power is probably overblown by the media , to whiuch he IS a bright shiny object they can’t resist…

            Some people who marched with Sharpton did call for violence, and Sharpton was shamefully silent. But that is still not the same as calling for violence. Not a justification, but Sharpton admits he handled the situation poorly, but denies he called for violence.

      Democrats aren’t gonna do such a thing to Rev Al….

      In fact , EVERY Democratic nominee for President makes the trip to see him and get his blessing…

  11. That Harlem affair was also on my mind, CG, but the uncertainties around it made it slightly harder for to tie to Al Sharpton directly.
