Will wonders never cease?
Groups funded by the billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch are launching an advertising campaign starting Sunday to push Congress to reach a deal providing legal status for a swath of young, undocumented immigrants whose fate has been in flux for years.
The campaign, which consists of television and digital ads, is aimed at spurring a solution for the young immigrants, referred to by supporters as Dreamers. The funding for the ads, estimated by the groups to be in the seven figures, comes from the Libre Initiative and Freedom Partners. They are part of the Koch network, a major supporter of conservative causes and candidates….

This doesn’t surprise me at all. Immigration brings down wages, and lower wsges benefits the Koch brothers.

The “Dreamers” are people who are likely to wind upin low wage jobs?
Well, that’s something that Trump’s die-hards would suggest but the evidence is against it.
Zreebs says
They start out in low wage jobs. Migrant workers don’t get paid much, and you haven’t been to a McDonalds in awhile.

I thought this thread was about DACA recipients, aka “Dreamers.” They are likely to be college students or high achieving High School students, but yes, you clearly parrot a Trumpist talking point here.
I have a lot of respect for people who work at McDonald’s. Some are likely immigrants, many are not. If they are young and work hard at that job, they are likely to be successful in future jobs down the road and benefit our economy and country. I would rather give my fast food order to an immigrant behind the counter than put it into a kiosk, that McDonald’s is now pushing. Eventually, those jobs are going to be gone for everyone.

I would think that if one would potentially seek to benefit financially or not from anything, a human being can and should have compassion for law abiding people living in our country, who were brought here through absolutely no fault of their own and who have a dark cloud of potential deportation hanging over them.
So, why the hell shouldn’t the Koch Brothers want to see something get done to protect these young men and women? Why wouldn’t any American?
