I can’t blame the woman for being pissed that the with winning the popular vote by MILLIONS she lost the election….(and finding out she was also running against a guy supported and helped by the Russians)
But it seems that she isn’t thinking about her parties future….
She never really has had really good political instincts….
Knocking the Trump voters highlights it….
By making her comments she has given politicians in those states handles to beat down current Democrats running in the fall elections…
That is NOT a good look….
Hillary Clinton on Saturday apologized for comments she made earlier this month when she claimed that states that supported her during the election were more wealthy than those who supported President Donald Trump.
In a lengthy Facebook post Saturday, Clinton clarified the intention of her remarks, that cities that do better economically “typically lean Democrat and and places where there is less optimism about the future lean Republican.
She claimed that she meant for her “backwards” comments to reference his policy stances, not be reflective of the people or places that went for Trump….

I’m not even sure that Hillary Clinton’s demographic/economic analysis is necessarily right: it needs deeper study.
For example, better-educated and more-prosperous areas have in general gone for the Democrats in recent political times, while the poorer ones with lower levels of income, education and opportunity have favoured their opponents.
But that’s not true of minority ghettoes, barrios and reservations on one side, nor is it true for Utah and some other Western states that have high household incomes (although not always when divided into individual income), high levels of college & post-grad education, and thoroughly respectable (“forward-looking”) tech sectors on the other.

Hillary did the same thing she did in 2008
Over confidence, poor campaign Managment….

There comes a time to exit the stage.

She’s right to be pissed
But she should also be mindful of those still in the game

The reality is that this is who Hillary is. She believes what she said every bit as much as Romney believed the poor were freeloaders. And even if there are some women who voted for Trump because their husbands, sons, boyfriends, or bosses told them to do so, it is obvious to me that many women voted for Trump because they couldn’t stand Hillary and her arrogant supporters. Hopefully, Dems will learn from their mistakes in 2020.
On an unrelated note, selectsmart.com has its 2020 candidate survey up. I took the survey and it said that Bernie Sanders was closest to my views. I would be interested in hearing who everybody else with.

You guys know I’m rooting for Biden right now….

CG, Of course this is just a rough guide and the survey itself is obviously overly-simplified. I have no intention of using it to determine who I would vote for. Perhaps you were surprised at the results?.
I noticed James did not indicate who his survey results ended up with. I suspect it came up with someone that he would not want to admit.

I think I dropped Scott’s comment …..
Sorry…
Scott got Bernie Sanders….
Democratic Socialist Dave says
No, I think you’ve still got Scott’s comment, if it’s the one that you can find here:

It’s not a good survey when they insist that Sanctuary Cities be the dividing line on immigration policy and that Muslim bans be the dividing line on international & security issues.
There is just no way that a lot of people can pick either of the options on those two questions.
jamesb says
People just want THEIR answer from survey’s they pay for sometimes , eh CG?

I agree. The questionnaire didn’t allow for enough nuance.
For example, I answered on the side of the NEA on educational issues over agreeing with the usual right wing claptrap about charter and religious schools.
That doesn’t mean I agree with Bernie Sanders about free tuition for all–but I bet that’s how it was scored.
Zreebs says
Scott,
I don’t believe in free college tuition, but I believe it should be greatly subsidized because society benefits from an educated workforce in many ways.
Do you believe grammar and high school should be tuition free – why or why not?
Scott P says
I agree tuition shoukd be greatly subsidized especially for those with the most financial need. I would also agree that 2 year colleges and tech schools should either be free or allow students to work off tuition
Zreebs says
One last comment. If you don’t have people advocating for free tuition, then greatly subsidized tuition is an impossibility.
